Nestled in the heart of Roy, WA, our family-run farm is where it all started. With a love for animals and a commitment to growing our own food, we ensure that everything we produce is as pure and natural as possible. Our animals are fed non-GMO feeds, and we grow most of our food right here on the farm. This lifestyle is more than a choice; it's a way to nurture a healthy family, which includes our two young sons who are growing up with the values of hard work, respect for the land, and a deep love for animals.
Our journey into crafting goat milk products began with our goats, who are more than just livestock—they're part of our family. It all started when we bred our goats and welcomed the arrival of their babies. As a family, we fell in love with the fresh, creamy milk they provided. Our boys loved drinking it, and we quickly saw the potential to preserve it by freeze-drying, ensuring we had a supply in case of unforeseen circumstances like a doe not taking to her baby. Always thinking ahead and prepared, we decided to take it a step further.
One day, I stumbled upon a video of someone making goat milk soap. Intrigued, I thought, "Why not try it myself?" What began as a small project to create gifts for family and friends quickly blossomed into a full-fledged passion. Everyone who received our soaps loved them, and soon, word spread. We even had customers buying our milk because it helped their children avoid eczema, something they struggled with when drinking grocery store milk or even fresh, unpasteurized cow’s milk.
Driven by this newfound passion, I dived deep into research, determined to create the best quality soap I could. As a country and farm girl, I’ve always preferred the simplicity of life outdoors. I don’t wear makeup, avoid lotions that make dirt stick to my skin, and rarely use heat tools on my hair to prevent damage. But as I get older, I realized the importance of conditioning my skin, and I wanted a product that did the job without needing layers of lotion afterward. Every soap blend I create is thoroughly tested by me first, ensuring it meets my standards of cleanliness, lightness, and nourishment. Our family’s needs also shaped the products we offer. One of our sons struggles with eczema, and I understand the frustration of heavy lotions that don’t truly help. Another son battles acne, and my husband and I both want to keep our tattoos looking as fresh as the day they were done. These personal experiences inspire every product we craft at Arcadian Supply Co.
This year, I’m proud to be an intern in the Master Gardener program with Pierce County, and I’m on track to become a certified Master Gardener by December 2024, along with my husband. Our commitment to our community extends beyond our farm—we’re always looking for ways to give back, grow, and share our knowledge. Moreover, my husband, who just retired after 20 years of military service, shares this deep love for animals and everything nature-related. Together, we’ve built this business from the ground up, with love, dedication, and a shared vision of sustainability and wellness.
